Capcom announced today at PAX East that the beloved 8-bit platformer,
DuckTales, will be getting an HD remake for current gen consoles. The game of course is based off the popular cartoon show of the late 80s.
Entitled
DuckTales Remastered, the game will once again place players in the role of Scrooge McDuck as he bounces around on his cane scouring the world for even more treasure.
The game will now come with updated HD visuals along with hand drawn sprites for the characters, 3D environments and Scrooge McDuck will now have the correct color clothing. (His shirt was red in the original NES game.)

Also worth noting, Capcom has stated the surviving cast members will return to lend their voices for their characters.
DuckTales Remastered will make its way to PSN, XBLA and the Wii U e-Shop this summer. Check out the reveal trailer below.
