Encore Theatre Arts is collaborating with the Rib Crib restaurant at 1601 S. Harvard Ave., to help fund the company’s upcoming production of “Cinderella.”
Fairy tales and roasted meats might not seem to be a natural pairing, but then, Cinderella -- like good barbecue -- spends a great deal of her days amid smoke and ash before her Fairy Godmother shows up.
The restaurant will donate 10 percent of its sales Thursday night to Encore Theatre Arts. Just alert the person serving you that you would like your order to benefit Encore.
The company’s “Cinderella,” which will be presented Feb. 29 and March 1-3, 2012, at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center, is a new adaptation written by company founders Joshua and Mindy Barker. Auditions for the production will begin in January.
