To support Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Polaroid and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) are teaming up to “Picture a World Without Breast Cancer.”

On Monday, Polaroid will unveil a line of pink digital cameras and an online portal for individuals to share their pictures and stories of struggle and survival, and build collective support in the fight against breast cancer. More importantly, visitors to the Web site are invited to use words and photos to share how they picture their world cancer-free.

This is the second year Polaroid is offering a line of pink digital cameras to benefit BCRF. Two of this year's models, the i631 and i735, provide enhanced functionality, such as anti-shake features and faster shot-to-shot speed.

The i631 will be available Monday at Target stores nationwide; the i735p will be available Oct. 15 at Wal-Mart stores across the country. Each camera includes info about the work of BCRF and how to support its efforts.

Peace, love and Polaroids ... j.a.w.

Hey, Christine! Thanks for the tip on Chopper Couture. Their Web site says a store in Afton is a retailer, so I'll look into that. xoxo

Living Wright

While other kids were watching "The Smurfs," Scene Writer Jason Ashley Wright was tuned in to "Style with Elsa Klensch." By fourth grade, he knew he wanted to write, and spent almost three years publishing a weekly teen-oriented magazine, Teen-Zine -- circulation: 2. After earning a degree in journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, he became the medical reporter and teen board coordinator for the Hattiesburg (Miss.) American, a Gannett newspaper. Eight months later, with visions of Elsa dancing in his head, he applied for the fashion writer position at the Tulsa World, where he began working on Aug. 3, 1998. He is now a general assignment reporter for Scene.
