No, there is no Star Wars-theme to rain photos, despite the one I posted earlier this week
here and the one here Yoda backpack.
Unlike Tulsa, as previously addressed
here, many parts of the world are getting significant rain, and not just rain. Rained-out baseball fields, hail, lightning and sleet.
As these photos show, rain can be dealt with creatively, or planned for in advance, but sometimes, it's clear that rain isn't desired. In which case, please share it with Oklahoma!
If you need tips on how to take storm photos, check out last week's entry

That takes some dedicated workers. Part of the Monument for Labor by Matthew J. Placzek pokes out of the rising waters of the Missouri River in Omaha, Neb., on June 15. NATI HARNIK/Associated Press
Well, that's one way to pass time during a rain delay. Atlanta Braves right fielder Joe Mather catches hail stones in his hat June 15 in Atlanta. JOHN BAZEMORE/Associated Press

My dad never minded fishing in the rain, and neither does this great blue heron along a shoreline in Pembroke, N.Y., on June 16. DAVID DUPREY/Associated Press

A pedestrian (possibly Mary Poppins?) with an umbrella is reflected in a puddle Tuesday in Duisburg, Germany. Heavy rain and temperatures below 20 Celsius (that's 68 degrees Fahrenheit to us Americans) began the Germans' summer. FRANK AUGSTEIN/Associated Press

Is this going to be a lightning delay or a rain delay? Spectators wait for the storm to blow over Monday at TD Ameritrade Park in downtown Omaha, Neb., site of the NCAA baseball College World Series. DAVE WEAVER/Associated Press

Perhaps they saw
this post with the "Pray for Rain" sign from the Panhandle? Russian Orthodox Church clergymen stand under rain as they take part at a wreath laying ceremony Wednesday at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier outside Moscow's Kremlin wall to mark the 70th anniversary of the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union. SERGEY PONOMAREV/Associated Press

Doesn't high tech and rain blend for perfect silhouette photos? Cyclists and pedestrians intersect on a crossing as a giant video screen cast light on the road surface during a heavy rain storm Thursday in Beijing. ANDY WONG/Associated Press

You realize how underrated the umbrella is when you see photos like this. Part of Storm Meari, a woman crosses a flooded street in heavy rain Thursday in Manila, Philippines. PAT ROQUE/Associated Press
And finally, the clouds we can thank for our recent Tulsa rainfall via NOAA and Weather Underground.
