The weather forecast seems to good to be true for the weekend so it’s time to come out of air-conditioned hibernation and hit the farmers markets while they are still here.

At the Cherry Street Market you’ll find apples, cucumbers, eggplant, greens, okra, peppers, several varieties of squash, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, microgreens, sunflower sprouts and many other foods.

The Cherry Street Market at 15th Street and Peoria Avenue will be open until Oct. 20 and the Brookside Market at 41st Street and Peoria Avenue is open until Oct. 17.

Look forward to a flash mob from Tulsa Opera some time in September at the Cherry Street Market and they plan to have a cooking demonstration with fall crops.
