In what the Flaming Lips are calling their last show at the longtime Zoo Amphitheater outdoor venue, gates open at 5:30 tonight for a Halloween costume party freakout and concert.

The concert is free and a limited number of tickets will be available at the gate. First-come, first-served. Some local stores in Oklahoma City, like Guestroom Records also have free tickets available.

The concert is all ages. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. and opening acts include New Fumes and Stardeath & White Dwarfs.

The Oklahoma City Zoo Amp is located at 2101 N.E. 50th St., Oklahoma City. Event parking will be free at nearby Remington Park or $5 at neighboring Metro Tech, organizers said.

The location was home to the band's live concert video, "UFOs at the Zoo," which saw more nearly double its 7,000 capacity crash through its gates back in 2006.

Methinks this will be similar, but, you know, organizers are expecting the crushing crowd this time and admission will be restricted at capacity. Or should be, according to the band's website.

Get there early.
