Food terms you hate

Serious Eats conducted a poll of the most overused and hated food terms. So what terms do you wish we could leave behind in 2009?

You'll notice that several are favorites of Rachael Ray.

Here are a few that arose from the poll:

Foodie

Mouthfeel

Toothsome

Healthful

Food porn

Sammy/Sammie/Sammich

Flexitarian

EVOO

Delish

Gourmet

"money". If you watch Guy Fieri, you know what I mean. "This sauce is money", etc.
Super* ... e.g. Superfruit, superfood. Just a new marketing slogan for an old item in most cases.

Tablescape

"Simple yet Elegant"

Amen on the "money" comment... I would also add: Off the hook and flavortown.

Half of terms the judges tend to use on ICA fall in the dislike category for me. Most of it seems like pretentious preening of people who are out of their depth trying really hard to seem smart. Mo Rocca and Jeffrey Steingarten are the only two I don't get that feeling from usually.

when are they going to have a food network for regular folks, with items like brown beans and cornbread, spam and eggs, fried taters, mac and cheese made with Velveeta, and so on? I'm so bored with all the "foodies" and their oh-so-trendy recipes that are intended to make anyone who can't afford or doesn't want to eat radicchio and sushi-grade tuna feel like a bumpkin. And Sandra Lee doesn't count, I wouldn't feed my dog some of the swill that she presents on Semi-Homemade.
