One of the fun parts about these blogs is that I get to look up the forecasts for different parts of the country. It also lets let see exactly where each university is playing.
Fun fact: OU is not the first major college program to travel to the state of West Virginia this season! As noted in a previous football weather forecast,
Tulsa went to Marshall earlier this season.
Your weekend forecasts, in chronological order (all forecast information provided by the National Weather Service):
Tulsa hosting Central Florida, 11 a.m. Saturday in Tulsa
I get all worked up about seeing other forecasts and this entry starts right here in Tulsa, heh.
After a mostly clear night (lows in the mid-30s), Tulsa will have a sunny Saturday, reach the mid-60s in the afternoon.
Wind may be an issue: South to southeast wind gusts up to 20 mph are possible.
If the game goes late or if you stick around afterward, expect Tulsa to return to the mid-30s overnight once again.
OSU hosting Texas Tech, 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Stillwater
Like Tulsa, Stillwater has mid-30s forecast from Friday to Saturday overnight, so expect a little bit of a chilly morning.
Also like Tulsa, Stillwater is forecast to have a sunny Saturday in the mid-60s by afternoon. But, once again, like Tulsa, wind gusts! South winds up to 24 mph are forecast.
By Saturday night, partly cloudy skies with temperatures falling to the upper 30s.
OU at West Virginia, 6 p.m. Saturday in Morgantown, W.V.
Saturday afternoon, tempeartures are forecast to be in the mid-50s with sunny skies in Morgantown. Calmer winds than Oklahoma's are also expected, 5-8 mph to the east.
But, this is a Saturday night game.
Overnight lows are forecast for the low 30s with some 7 mph southeast winds.
So, no precipiation chances in these forecasts, but definitely wind, with cooler mornings and nights.
Have a good football weekend!
