Fox has announced premiere dates for its winter series.
The network announced Wednesday "American Idol" will launch its 12th season with a two-night premiere 7-9 p.m. Jan. 16 and 7-8 p.m. Jan. 17.
The first night will be a two-hour show featuring the return of host Ryan Seacrest and judge Randy Jackson and the introduction of new judges Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban.
Kevin Bacon's much-anticipated new thriller "The Following" debuts at 8 p.m. Jan. 21. The drama follows an ex-FBI agent (Bacon) called out of retirement track down the serial killer (James Purefoy) who has created a growing web of killers using the internet.It will air on Mondays.
The second season of Kiefer Sutherland’s drama "Touch" returns at 8 p.m. Fridays starting Feb. 1.
This season, single father Martin Bohm (Sutherland) and his gifted son, Jake (David Mazouz), find themselves at the center of a global conspiracy involving a mother in search of her missing teenage daughter, a mathematical genius and a religious zealot assassinating others with abilities like Jake's.
The severely autistic child can't communicate with his desperate single father but can perceive the seemingly hidden patterns that connect every life on the planet. It's up to Martin to interpret them.
Joining the cast this season are Maria Bello ("ER"), Lukas Haas ("24"), Said Taghmaoui ("G.I. Joe: The Rise of The Cobra") and newcomer Saxon Sharbino.
The premiere date for "The Goodwin Games" will be announced later.
Fox airs on channel 23, cable 5 in Tulsa.
