TULSA TO DO
All but one of this week's picks for things to do in Tulsa are free. And, that one exception? It's just $7 for an Irish dinner. ...
You're not going to run out of things to do this weekend. It will be easy to keep yourself, and the kids, busy with happenings ...
A friend told me he had thought more about Woody Guthrie in the last few days than he had his whole life.
It's no wonder. ...
I've heard more people talking about the Home and Garden Show this year than ever before.
It must be the weather that has us so ready to dig in the dirt, paint the trim and give our houses an overall spring cleaning.
The best place to gather inspiration is at the Greater Tulsa Home and Garden Show. This year's show, which takes place Thursday through Sunday, will be packed with nearly 500 exhibitors with the latest trends and ideas for home and garden design, as well as nuts and bolts home improvement.
Along with exhibitor booths, the show will feature presentations by Dr. Lori, antiques appraiser and syndicated columnist, who will do quick appraisals in her "Trash or Treasure" show. All are invited to bring an item to be evaluated for free. Dr. Lori's shows will take place at 1 and 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at noon and 4 p.m. Sunday.
New this year is the green showcase, with ideas for energy efficiency and savings. At 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Steve Thomas, former host of "This Old House," will present his ideas for greening your home and garden.
