This time, it’s Michael Jackson’s turn to be feted by the cast of Fox’s musical series a la Britney and Madonna.

The episode, airing at 7 p.m. Tuesday on Fox, channel 23, cable 5, will feature 10 of Jackson’s classic songs. It all starts when the two rival high school Glee clubs — Dalton Academy’s Warblers and the McKinley High School New Directions — both want to perform a Jackson song at the regional competition. The group’s stage their own duel-off to see who wins.

New Warbler Sebastian (played by Grant Gustin) isn’t above playing mean to get what he wants and he wants to win, the actor told hollywoodreporter.com.

“It becomes everyone versus Sebastian,” Gustin said. “Everyone turns on him by the end of the episode, including the Warblers.”

The Jackson songs and the characters who perform them are: Blaine, “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’’; New Directions & Warblers, “Bad”; Finn and Rachel, “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You”; Santana & Sebastian, “Smooth Criminal”; Quinn, “Never Can Say Goodbye”; Brittany & Santana, “In the Closet”; New Directions & Warblers, “We Are the World”; Puck, “Black or White”; New Directions, “Ghost / Monster” mashup; The Warblers, “Beat It / Billie Jean”; Kurt, “The Way You Make Me Feel,” and Artie, “Don’t Stop ’Til You Get Enough,” according to popmusiclife.com.

Who should "Glee" pay tribute to next? Or, do you think the little show that could is just trying way too hard?

I don't know about you but 10 musical numbers in a one-hour show? That's a bit much for even die-hard musical fans like me. I would kind of like to get back to those stories of the characters that drew me in in the first season.

Let me know what you think.

Rita Sherrow grew up with TV. Yes, it was the ever-present “sister” from another techno mother. At first look, it was instant "Like." From then on, the TV had to be on in every room while she studied, elementary school through college. An Air Force brat, she attended school in three states (Oklahoma, Montana and Georgia) and two foreign countries (Germany and Bermuda) and graduated from Broken Arrow High School and the University of Tulsa with a degree in journalism/advertising. She first interned in the advertising world but, when a J-School professor (who also covered politics for the Tulsa World) offered her an internship at the newspaper, she took him up on it. The rest is history. She has served as bridal editor, senior features writer for the women’s section, food editor and is television editor of the Tulsa World. In addition to writing about TV shows and interviewing the stars for “Scene” stories, she also writes a TV column for Weekend and produces the Sunday TV World listings magazine.
