Allure's photo team traveled to Oklahoma City to shoot Muskogee native
Carrie Underwood for the beauty magazine's February issue.
The award-winning songstress discusses how her look has transformed over time and why. She also talks about her approach to hair and makeup, and to say it simply, she likes to keep it simple.
"I travel around so much, I can't have lots and lots of things with me," Underwood says.
She says she uses SPF moisturizer on her face and tries to eat right as much as possible.
Underwood goes on to say that she loves to do her own hair and makeup.
"It's relaxing to me," Underwood explains. In the hustle and bustle happening ahead of her shows, it's a calming thing to not have people swarming all around her. "It's not 'me-time' anymore, that's about the only 'me-time' that I get when we're on the road like this, so I love to do it myself."
