Grocery store madness

A guy in the elevator just told me to not even think about going to the grocery store today.

It's the day before Thanksgiving, and the register lines are stretching into the grocery aisles. It's impossible to find a grocery cart. Everyone's mad because they can't find unsalted butter. The bad news is – it's just going to get worse.

By tonight, even more people will be at the store, staking out the last of the turkeys and sweet potatoes. I hope something's left for me.

I made my list weeks ago, but have lost it a few times since then. So tonight I'll be among all the other Thanksgiving slackers – desperate for eggs and butter. I wish I had worn my tennis shoes. I think it's going to be a long night.

And I thought last night was bad-I couldn't get through the aisles then, either. I cannot imagine tonight-sorry for you! Happy Thanksgiving!

Hope your meal went off well. I am still tired today and it is Saturday. But the meal was excellent. I only forgot one thing, the cheese tray. Oh well, there is always next year.

Just wait until the first forecast of SNOW. They all go nuts, and stock up on everything, like they won't be able to get out to the store again for weeks!

Happy Holidays - hope you don't lose your Christmas list as well! :)
