The City of Guthrie,
Mumford & Sons,
Jam Productions and
DCF Concerts today sent an alert to media outlets to help warn fans against fraudulent ticket sales for the upcoming
Gentlemen of the Road Festival.
The event is Sept. 6-7 in Guthrie. The warning reads:
We are receiving many calls about websites that are offering festival tickets at this time to unsuspecting and excited patrons. There are no tickets to this festival, no VIP packages, no “seats” available. All tickets are being sold beginning tomorrow (Friday) at 11 a.am. CST through gentlemenoftheroad.com. Mumford & Sons are a very specific artist to their fans with no gimmicks, no "specials," no "pre-sales" or seats or anything of this nature.
We want to alert the public in as many ways possible that unless they are going through the official website beginning at 11 a.m. tomorrow 2/8 there is not a way to procure a festival ticket or camping pass.+++
Tickets are $109 (including fees) and go on sale 11 a.m. Friday at
gentlemenoftheroad.com. Camping is available for $40 per person per day.
The two-day celebration includes a Friday night concert and a festival all day on Saturday, Sept. 6-7, including music from
Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes,
The Alabama Shakes,
The Vaccines,
Bear’s Den,
Half Moon Run,
Willy Mason,
Those Darlins and more.
Estimates of this tour last year put the economic impact of a concert in Bristol, Tenn., at more than $4.2 million. Organizers expect a similar impact for Guthrie and Logan County. Cottonwood Flats in Guthrie will host the family-friendly event, expected to bring in 25,000 or more attendees to the area.
