Had a Sonoran hot dog lately?

Has anyone had a good Sonoran hot dog lately in Tulsa?

A reader named Scott just emailed to ask if we knew where to find Sonoran hot dogs like the ones he had in Tucson, Ariz.

In July, another reader responded to a "5 to Find" we did on hot dogs around town. This particular reader told us he loved the Sonoran hot dogs at a taco stand at Second Street and Lewis Avenue.

Unfortunately, Scott visited the stand at Second and Lewis, and they told him they didn't make those.

Can y'all help a brother out? Where can our friend Scott find THE best Sonoran hot dog in Tulsa?

Peace, love and dawgs ... XOXO

I mimicked the Sonoran dog I saw on "Man vs Food." Don't know how close it was to what you had, but wasn't bad. Used Bueno refried beans because of the ease and, well, I love them.

@nd and Lewis is the place, but he calls them "Angel Dogs." And you can get them with a regular dog or polish. Send him back. I've eaten like, a dogzillion of them.

While other kids were watching "The Smurfs," Scene Writer Jason Ashley Wright was tuned in to "Style with Elsa Klensch." By fourth grade, he knew he wanted to write, and spent almost three years publishing a weekly teen-oriented magazine, Teen-Zine -- circulation: 2. After earning a degree in journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, he became the medical reporter and teen board coordinator for the Hattiesburg (Miss.) American, a Gannett newspaper. Eight months later, with visions of Elsa dancing in his head, he applied for the fashion writer position at the Tulsa World, where he began working on Aug. 3, 1998. He is now a general assignment reporter for Scene.
