Being in a band
and being family men isn't easy, Tulsa's
Hanson brothers tell Oprah on tonight's episode of 'Where Are They Now.'
“It can be a hard thing. We all have kids and wives and lawns to mow,” quips
Zac, the youngest Hanson member and a father of two, after his brother
Isaac explains the trio has done about 40 or 50 shows in the last four years.
Isaac, the oldest Hanson, also has two children, and
Taylor and his wife just had their fifth child – Wilhelmina Jane – earlier this month.
That’s nine children between the three of them, and the Hanson brothers are seeing a type of bond between three of their sons that is similar to their own.
Mind you Taylor’s son Viggo, 3 ½ , Isaac’s 4-year-old James and Zac’s 4-year-old Shepherd would have some years to go before starting their own band, but, “They sort of fit our roles,” Zac explains during the program. “Viggo … he’s kind of the mastermind, and Isaac’s 4-year-old (James) Monroe, he’s kind of the show man, the frontman, he’s very outgoing. And my son Shepherd … he hits things! He’s sort of the muscle.”
Adds Isaac: “He’s like, ‘Hey, Shep…” Isaac says with a laugh, to which Zac breaks inm “‘Go beat that kid up. That kid stole my lollipop, beat him up!’”
