If you said goodbye to the farmers markets in August, with your arms full of tomatoes and corn, it's not too late to come back.
In Oklahoma, farmers markets are busy, happening places from May to August. A little spring drizzle or fall chill is enough to keep most people away from the markets and inside the warmth of a grocery store.
But here's the cool thing: Even in November, you can find fresh, home-grown and handmade goods at the Downtown Tulsa Farmers Market.
The downtown market is a fun place to take kids for a post-nap outing or to spend 20 minutes during your lunch break.
This market, at Third Street and Boston Avenue, is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. year-round.
Here's just a sample of what you'll find:
Produce: potatoes, onions, chard, squash, beets, bok choy, pecans, peanuts
Dairy and meat: goat cheese, goat milk, flavored honey, pork, beef
Baked goods: brioche, gingerbread, biscuits
Gifts: bird feeders and houses, shawls
