Tulsans, now is your chance to show some love for Tulsa Sound icon Leon Russell. In fact, you can do more than that — you just might create his next official music video.

Elton John and Russell are calling on fans to get creative on their newest single, “Hey Ahab,” from the recent, Grammy nominated collaborative album, “The Union.”

The pair will both review every video submitted and select one in a sweepstakes created by Vevo streaming video site and the musicians, the official website shows. The winner will also recieve a $5,000 cash prize.

John, who inducted Russell into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on last week in New York City, will double up as host and share the stage Russell on April 2. It will be John’s second appearance on “SNL” -- first was in 1982.

Barrelhouse Beat

Barrelhouse: A colloquialism describing the low saloons at the turn of the century (19th) that served whiskey straight out of the barrel. It's also a reference to the type of music played in those venues. Ex: Barrelhouse music.

Beat: The time or timing. Ex: The band played with a solid beat. Also used as a term describing a reporters specific area of expertise. Ex: The music beat.
