Hibachi Grill & Super Buffet glitzy newcomer

With a couple of exceptions, I have tended to shy away from Asian super buffets in the past few years, but I was persuaded by a former restaurant person I know to visit the new Hibachi Grill & Super Buffet.

It's a big place, occupying a former Ryan's Steak House at 74th Place and Memorial Drive, and features nine buffet food stations, a hibachi grill and a sushi bar that keeps 10 types of sushi available at all times. The all-you-can eat buffet is less than $10 for lunch and dinner, so if quantities of basic sushi is your thing, this is a great deal.

The restaurant also has a lot of glitz and sparkle. It might be the largest and most glamorous -- if a buffet can be glamorous -- Asian buffet in this region.
