Hillary goes HollywoodPolitico reports Secretary of State
Hillary Clinton is the subject of an upcoming biopic.
The film's screenwriter, 39-year-old Young Il Kim said the film is about "a journey of a woman who was torn between her personal desires and her professional ambition — both literally pulled her thousands of miles apart, because Bill did not want to leave Arkansas, and she did not want to leave Washington, D.C.,” Kim told Politico.
Don't expect the former First Lady's full life story up to this point but a snippet of it - when Clinton was in her 20s and didn't know what she wanted to do with her life, Kim said.
One thing that struck the young screenwriter was the irony found in Clinton's early career as an attorney on the House Judiciary Committee, which was ultimately responsible for the impeachment of her husband Bill Clinton.
Already, the film is getting buzz, and last month was ranked no. 4 on Hollywood's Black List - an annual poll of noteworthy unproduced movie scripts. Films that have made the list in the past include "The King's Speech," "Juno," "The Social Network" and "Django" among others.
Kim told the newspaper he wrote the film in four months, researching mounds of books on Clinton.
