Asleep at the Wheel joins superstar
Willie Nelson in
New York City tonight for a 10:30 p.m. performance on "
The Late Show with David Letterman" on CBS. (Willie recently performed here at Cain's Ballroom, did ya catch it?)
The CD collaboration, "Willie and The Wheel," sits at No. 15 on the Billboard Country Chart. And something interesting, Zalman King, producer of “9 1/2 Weeks” and “Red Shoe Diaries,” has been filming a documentary about the tour. No release date has been set.
“This is a very special album and very special time for all of us,” said Asleep at the Wheel bandleader Ray Benson in an email press release. “Having a fine filmmaker like Zalman document this tour is a great way to share all the fun we’ll be having with our fans.”
