Haven’t gotten your Girl Scout cookie fix yet? Well, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson is ready to take your order. The star of the TLC reality show “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” is selling the cookies on Facebook. Yea, yea, not the most Girl Scouty thing to do, but it was only a matter of time.

The official announcement was up around 7 this morning but has mysteriously disappeared. Nevertheless, here's more on the Boo Boo cookie ad.

Anyway, the boxes of cookies run $3.50 each plus shipping. Supposedly each box sold will be autographed and will also include an autographed picture of the Thompson family.

Just send little Alana “a email” including your name, shipping address and the name of the cookies you want. You’ll get an email back with your total including the shipping cost, and then you can send your money order – no personal checks, please – to blah, blah, blah address.

So we have to do all that? And end up paying more than those cookies are truly worth? And then wait for those same cookies, which we can easily buy down the street, to arrive in the mail?

Boo Boo adds on the post that if you don’t want to buy the cookies for yourself, she’ll donate them to the local children’s hospital and Ronald McDonald House.

That philanthropic bit is nice; Boo Boo should get a badge for that.

Stopping by one of those stands outside a local Walmart just sounds so much easier.

By the way, according to the Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma website, booth sales run through March 17.
