The chamber orchestra I Musici de Montreal, which is scheduled to perform as part of Chamber Music Tulsa's season on Nov. 22, had to cancel a performance for the first time in its 25 year history this week -- after most of the musicians came down with food poisoning after a tour of China.
Pam Lucas, manager of Chamber Music Tulsa, said that the Nov. 22 concert is still going to happen, although the repertoire originally announced -- works by Mozart, Chopin, Dvorak and Elgar -- may be changed.
"Even the guest pianist they were going have come with them, Katherine Chi, is sick," Lucas said. "But the orchestra is pretty confident they will be able to get over this in time to come to Tulsa."
