I'm GUILTY -- but pleasurably so

Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil.

Per the promise I make below Tuesday's column, here are a few more of my guilty pleasures. And, like I say in the paper, feel free to add your own -- you know, just in case I'm missing out on somethin'.

Fuze Refresh Peach Mango drink. It's kinda high in sugar but it tastes AWESOME! Peach is my favorite fruit flavoring. Anyway, it's quite yummy, try it. I've seen it at QuikTrip and grocery stores.

Peach Nehi. Actually, I wasn't planning on including this, but I recently rediscovered this soft drink, which my Papaw used to stock in his vending machine at the radiator shop he owned in Laurel, Miss. His were in bottles, but I found a can version at a local convenience store. It has more calories than regular Coke, but it's that whole peach thing I'm nuts about. I used to see it at Moe's convenience store at Sixth & Lewis, but don't scream at me if they don't carry it anymore.

Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil. Even though I'm REALLY having to pinch my pennies lately, I've enjoyed the heck out of this product. It's a blend of natural essential oils, which tone and soothe your skin while promoting a more radiant and luminous complexion. Although I was skeptical at first about putting an oil on my greasy face, it's actually helped my complexion -- a lot. It's $46 at Clarins counters in Dillard's and Saks, but it lasts a long time, and it's totally worth it.

Setting my air conditioner at home VERY low. I sweat like a pee-eye-gee HOG when I'm getting ready in the morning, so I love tapping the temperature thingy down to between 65 and 68 -- just for an hour. Honestly, I'd be cooler than caviar if I could see my own breath in the morning.

OK, that's enough for now. Like I said, tell me your guilty pleasures, if you have any. (And you KNOW you do ...)

Peace, love and frigidity ... xoxo

Favorite guilty pleasure is sitting on the deck reading JAW articles while smoking and drinking

Do you recommend Clarin's after my pool tourniment at Friendly's Lounge? Will it remove the layer of smoke residue from my face? Did you say it was $4.60 at Dillard's. I'll try it.

Eating chocolate fudge frosting right out of the container, with a plastic spoon. Of course, I'm not certain if I feel more guilty about the icing thing, or how many plastic spoons I've introduced into the environment.

This is awful, but I love eating Eagle Brand milk right out of the can! Yum!

I love watching hour upon hour of Golden Girls but it's more of a memorial activity as of late.

Living Wright

While other kids were watching "The Smurfs," Scene Writer Jason Ashley Wright was tuned in to "Style with Elsa Klensch." By fourth grade, he knew he wanted to write, and spent almost three years publishing a weekly teen-oriented magazine, Teen-Zine -- circulation: 2. After earning a degree in journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, he became the medical reporter and teen board coordinator for the Hattiesburg (Miss.) American, a Gannett newspaper. Eight months later, with visions of Elsa dancing in his head, he applied for the fashion writer position at the Tulsa World, where he began working on Aug. 3, 1998. He is now a general assignment reporter for Scene.
