As this week has proved from my pile of unwatched TV shows, it's about that time to give your DVRs a workout. Fall TV and all its splendor is upon us.

And for those curious about the most popular shows NOT seen during prime time, TiVo has been keeping track.

The DVR manufacturer recently gave Entertainment Weekly its list of "most TiVo'ed shows" of all time.

According to EW, TiVo has been keeping track of recorded shows since October 2007. And the most popular show has been - drum roll please - "Grey's Anatomy."

Here's the Top 10 list:
1. Grey’s Anatomy
2. American Idol
3. Desperate Housewives
4. House
5. Lost
6. CSI
7. 24
8. Heroes
9. The Office
10. Glee

Granted, a few shows are no longer on the air, but it's a good showing of TV popularity - and our "need" for a trusty DVR.

I'll gladly say the DVR has been the best invention during my adult life. I have loads of regular shows that have the "never erase" tab by them. And likewise, when a power outage or "act of God" occurs, causing me to miss a recording, I wail like a kicked dog.

Yes, I read. No, I do not have children.

My top five DVR'ed shows for fall prime time are:

1. The Good Wife
2. Glee
3. Modern Family
4. How I Met Your Mother
5. 30 Rock

What are your favorite fall TV shows?
