J-Lo takes a leap -- of fashion at last night's American Music Awards.

No, Miss Lopez will not likely shave her head anytime soon...hopefully.
But the gorgeous star seems to be channeling her inner Ms. Spears these days. Did anyone watch the
American Music Awards last night?
J-Lo rocked out to a medley in a flesh-colored, sparkly body suit. Seem familiar? She's also allegedly dating a dancer, Casper Smart, according to People and other tabloids. (Let's please hope C-Smart doesn't turn into another K-Fed.)
Britney pulled off the sparkly, nude-colored bodysuit maneuver back in 2000 at the MTV awards -- and got quite a bit of controversy after. She was still considered a "good girl" at the time, at the age of 18.
Fast-forward to last night with J-Lo at age 42. She looks better than she's ever looked, but when is is time to draw the line in, um, performance gear?
Will you want to see Lady GaGa in a rubber bodysuit at age 54? Likewise, do you think Madonna should still be running around in fishnet tights? Cher certainly doesn't think age matters for performers -- she famously donned her "If I Could Turn Back Time"
bodysuit two years ago on tour -- at age 62.
I'm all for women being who they want to be and expressing themselves with fashion. And I'll give it to them, they are pop stars, not soccer moms.
And these costumes certainly achieve what they're meant to do -- create buzz.
What do you think of J-Lo's costume? Rocking -- or tacky?
