Alex Trebek, longtime host of the popular game show "Jeopardy!" is doing well following a mild heart attack Saturday.
Trebek, 71, is "up and about and in good spirits," according to deadline.com.
He was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute in Los Angeles Saturday and remains there but has been moved to a regular room, according to the game show's production company Sony Pictures TV. Spokeswoman Paula Askanas said he "looks forward to returning home as soon as his doctors give their approval," reported the website.
"Trebek is in good spirits and is undergoing further testing," she said. "He is expected to fully recover and be back on 'Jeopardy!' when production begins taping in July for the new season, the show's 29th."
His show won its 14th Daytime Emmy Sunday for Best Game/Audience Participation Show. The winners were announced on cable channel HLN. In 2011, Trebek received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
