Jimmy John's coming to Brookside, Broken Arrow

Jimmy John's, a gourmet sandwich chain that put its first Tulsa restaurant at 19th Street and Yale Avenue a year ago, soon will have locations in Brookside and Broken Arrow.

The Broken Arrow store will be operated by the current Tulsa franchisee and will be located in a former Blockbuster store at 71st Street (Kenosha Street) and 145th East Avenue (Aspen Avenue). It is expected to open in about a month.

The Brookside store, operated by a different franchisee, will be at 36th Street and Peoria Avenue, also in a former Blockbuster store. I could not determine a target date for its opening.

I recently ate at Jimmy John's for the first time and really liked it. The Italian sub had that authentic eastern hoagie taste that's hard to describe, but if you're from back east ( I'm originally from PA )you know the real deal when you taste it. I'll be going back to try their other subs. Glad to see they're expanding.
