Yes, Johnny Depp himself was in Lawton this weekend. Definitely. Grand marshal status.

TMZ reports no one knew the actor – an honorary member of the Comanche Indian tribe – was showing up Saturday at the 21st Comanche Nation Fair until, well, he showed up.

Even nicer, Depp left the set of "The Lone Ranger” to attend the fair.

Depp told Entertainment Weekly in 2011 about his Native American ancestry saying his great-grandmother grew up in Kentucky “Cherokee or maybe Creek Indian.”

TMZ said Depp’s appearance at the fair was kept quiet to keep the participants’ focus on the event.
