The story in Friday's paper on Tulsa native Dameka Hayes, who is appearing in "The Color Purple," mentioned that she got her start at the June Runyon School of Dance.
This is one of Tulsa's oldest dance studios, and on Saturday it will be holding an open house at its new location, 1521 E. 15th Street.
Hayes will be on hand to be part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the studio, which will start at 10 a.m.
The school will also be having auditions for its performance company, Tulsa Dance Theatre. These auditions will be held Jan. 31 at the Cascia Hall Helmerich Performing Arts Center, 26th Street and Utica Avenue.
For more information call Karen Ruth 683-7405 or Debi Myers, 693-7402.
