If you are a Tulsa area parent (or soon-to-be) and have not attended the Just Between Friends consignment sale, I used to be like you.
My daughter is 11 months old now, has practically everything she needs for now and I thought I found pretty good bargains elsewhere on baby stuff as-is.
Then, after a few early media day passes for Just Between Friends magically appeared at work one day, I attended and found where the real bargains were all along.
Here are a few things that I found:
Barely-used Jeep 2-in-1 Baby Carrier: $15 ($35-$45 new at some online retailers)
Like-new Nike 12-month shirt and skirt: $8 (up to about $35 new at some online retailers)
In all, I was able to get my baby's wardrobe for the next 6-9 months, plus several other things for under $200.
Now, I had the benefit of being able to beat the crowds and come early. I am told that the sale is typically much more crowded and that the larger ticket items (strollers, etc) usually go fast.
Even so, this sale is worth checking out at least once if you are an expecting or current parent in the area. Here's some more fun stuff:
An experienced sale shopper: Brings a laundry basket with a rope to drag it behind you, or (clean!) garbage can on wheels to carry purchases.
A first-time shopper like me: Politely accepts a shopping bag at the door, thinking there's no possible way I'll need it.
Experienced shopper: Has a plan beforehand to go after specific needs, finding major purchases first.
Me: Stands at the entryway with really big eyes, not realizing how large this sale is (it takes up the entire Exchange Center).
Experienced shopper: Arrives early and knows where to go.
Me: Accidentally went to the Saturday Flea Market building first and arrived exactly at opening time.
Here are Google directions so you don't get lost too.For more information on the sale, check out their website

Baby bit: It is now the week where I have to re-register my baby at the daycare. Ours requires paying the annual registration fee once again in order to reserve her spot for the summer and fall sessions. If you seek daycare or already have one, check for registration schedules!
This week, my baby is eating: Little bits of banana... and she doesn't like them at all. Weird how when not mixed with Apples and Strawberries in a grocery store container that bananas suddenly aren't good. Any ideas?
