It was unbeliebable.

That 19-year-old pop star Justin Bieber could make loyal fans cry out of anything other than obsession, but according to the Associated Press and other sources, that’s exactly what happened after the Canadian singer showed up late to a performance in London on Monday night.

The Huffington Post says he was 40 minutes late, E! says two hours late and The Biebs, himself has said he was 40 minutes.

"Last night I was scheduled after 3 opening acts to go on stage at 9:35, not 8:30," Bieber said on Twitter, challenging claims he was two hours late. "But because of some technical issues I got on at 10:10 ... so ... I was 40 min. late to stage," he wrote. "There is no excuse for that and I apologize for anyone we upset. However it was [a] great show and I'm proud of that."

Let some tell it, including The Sun, and the “Boyfriend” singer was late due to behavior issues.

One mother was reportedly told by O2 Arena staff that Bieber was having a fit backstage.

“We were told he was kicking up a real fuss. He was saying ‘It’s my show, I’ll go out when I want to,” the woman told The Sun.

Others attribute the delay to Bieber partying too hard the night before.

Whatever the case, when Bieber did finally hit the stage Monday night, he was greeted by boos and a lot of upset young concertgoers and the parents who would be chaperoning them home.

Because of the delay, E! reports, many fans left before the end of the show which ran over by 30 minutes. Monday was a school night.

Richard Hayward told the BBC that his daughter was "inconsolable" daughter – “in floods of tears,” the BBC reports, “as she was only able to see 15 minutes of the concert before they had to get the last train home.”

Another parent, Louise Cooper had taken her daughter to the concert as a birthday gift.

Cooper, a financial analyst and blogger told The Guardian she saw teen girls outside crying. “The ladies sitting with us had to leave after about 20 minutes and they had spent £70 each on a ticket, which is really bad.”

That’s about $100 each, folks.

Still, as disappointed as some might be about those “technical issues” that prevented Bieber from showing up and kept his fans waiting, soon enough Beliebers will get over it. As dutifully as they pounced on his reported new girlfriend Ella Paige earlier this week, they’ll get over it.

But the parents who had to go to work the next day? Hmm, maybe not so much. At least for Belieber parent Wayne Parsonage, who, the BBC reported, said he paid £400 ($600) for three tickets and tweeted he was disgusted. He ended up missing the performance so he could make the last train home:

“Waste of my time and money … never again.”

But in Bieber’s world:
