A Kids Triathlon will be held at McClure Park, 7440 E. Seventh St., starting at 8 a.m. Saturday.

Kids ages 6 to 15 can participate in the long or short courses of the continuous swimming, biking and running challenge.

Long Course Race participants will swim 150 meters, bike 2 miles, and run 1 mile. Short Course Race participants will swim 25 meters, bike 1/2 a mile, and run 1/4 a mile.

First time participants are encouraged to attend a pre-race workshop at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the McClure Center. Registration is $35 and can be done at the workshop or the day of the race from 6:45 to 7:30 a.m.

Helmets are required during the bike portion of the triathlon, and kick boards will be available for the swim portion. If needed, participants can wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket.
