Early this morning, Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill admitted via Twitter that he was 'too drunk' to continue work on the band's upcoming album.

The band's been sharing updates during the recording process, and Followill admitted he'd had a too much wine to finish sequencing work on their sixth studio album.

"Wine isn't for everyone, but it is definitely for me," he posted. He followed with: "Just tried for a sequence to the new album. Very exciting stuff. I can't quite nail it down due to the being too drunk. #Tomorrow"

He followed that with: "My 'drafts' on twitter should be titled 'drunk thoughts you might tweet tomorrow if they're not too offensive.'"

This album is the follow-up to the 2010 hit album "Come Around Sundown" for the Oklahoma-tied Southern rocker.

The rockers have a handful of festival dates set this summer in the U.S., including Hangout Music Festival in Alabama, The Governor's Ball in New York and Bottle Rock in California. The band also has several overseas festival dates set this year, including V Festival, Poland's Open'er Festival, Portugal's Optimus Alive, Belgium's Rock Werchter Festival.

The band originated in Talihina, Okla., and was inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in 2011.
