Kristin Chenoweth and Jim Parsons have been chosen to announce the nominations for the 66th annual Tony Awards on May 1 in New York.
Chenoweth, a Broken Arrow native, won a Tony for featured actress in a musical in "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," was Tony-nominated for lead actress in a musical for "Wicked," appeared on Broadway in the 2010 revival of "Promises, Promises" and is expected to return to Broadway in a revival of the 1978 musical comedy "On the 20th Century" next season, according to hollywoodreporter.com.
Chenoweth, who stars in "GCB" Sunday nights on ABC, will perform in a sold-out concert at the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center in June.
Two-time Emmy winner Parsons, star of "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, made his Broadway debut in "The Normal Heart" in 2011 and is expected to reprise his role in the upcoming Ryan Murphy film version, with Mark Ruffalo, Julia Roberts and Alec Baldwin. He is already in rehearsal for the starring role of Elwood P. Dowd in a Broadway revival of "Harvey" opening June 14.
Neil Patrick Harris will return to host for the third time. The event, which honors the best of the Broadway season, will be televised June 10 on CBS, channel 6.
