Kristin Chenoweth is coming home.

The Emmy and Tony Award winner announced on her Web site Wednesday that she will launch a world concert tour that includes her hometown of Broken Arrow.

The 19-date North American leg of the tour kicks off May 9 in Seattle and will conclude June 24 at the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center. The entertainer was born in Broken Arrow and lived there until her family moved to Texas when she was 19, according to the Associated Press. In her hometown, the main 1,500-seat stage of the Performing Arts Center will be renamed in her honor, reported AP.

Tickets will go on sale in select cities beginning March 9.

In her concert, the recording artist and actress will perform songs from her fourth country pop album "Some Lessons Learned" as well as her most well-known songs including "Popular" from "Wicked" and other Broadway show tunes plus songs from her appearances on TV's "Glee."

A graduate of Broken Arrow High school, she earned a masters in Opera Performance from Oklahoma City University and headed for the New York stage. She received a Tony Award for her performance in "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" and was Tony nominated for her role as Glinda the Good Witch in "Wicked." She returned to Broadway in 2010 in the revival "Promises, Promises" opposite Sean Hayes and was inducted into Oklahoma's Music Hall of Fame in 2011.

She starred in her own TV series "Kristin" and won an Emmy Award for her role in "Pushing Daisies" on ABC. She is also well known for playing Annabeth Schott on "The West Wing" and as April Rhodes on "Glee."

Her film credits include "Bewitched," "The Pink Panther," "Running With Scissors," "Stranger Than Fiction," "Four Christmases," "RV" and the upcoming films "Ed Zwick's Family Weekend" and "Outrun," according to her Web site.

On Sunday, she stars in the new sassy comedy series "GCB" debuting on ABC.

From then on, the TV had to be on in every room while she studied, elementary school through college.
