Diminutive Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth is angry in a very big way.

The Broken Arrow native recently went off on American Airlines after a gate employee refused to let her board with her pint-size pup, Madeline.

Multiple sources report that an American Airlines agent rose her voice to Chenoweth and became “abusive” to the artist. The airline also admits it wrongly told her that Chenoweth didn’t have the proper paperwork to fly with the dog.

Celebrity gossip site TMZ reported that the dog is a service dog, which isn’t exactly accurate.

Once Chenoweth’s complaints went viral online, the airline apologized.

Chenoweth said she has a medical need for the dog to be with her, and tweeted, “Maddie ... is an emotional support animal.”

“We have been in touch with Ms. Chenoweth to offer our apologies for the misunderstanding. We refunded the ($125) cabin pet charge as soon as we realized the mistake. We hope she will consider flying American again in the future,” read a statement released by the company.

Aren't all pet "emotional support animals"???

If she paid the cabin pet charge, then AA was in the wrong...
...but, this girl needs to get a grip on reality.

I have to have two emotional support dogs; Butch, my Great Dane, and clyde, my Saint Bernard. It's nice to know I can take them on a plane for free!

She has been around the high and mighty celebrities too long, their dramatic, narcissism and self-importance has rubbed off on her.

Emotional support animal.....ha ha ha My little 8 lb. dog is my friend and companion, but I don't consider her my emotional animal support where she has to be with me at all times. People are getting so nutty.

My dog and cats are emotional support too, especially when one awakens me at 3:00 am. They are needing my emotional support and food. Poor Kristin ... Let's all just take a "moment" over this one.

Way to miss the point of the story people. Ms. Chenoweth had the proper paperwork for the dog to fly with her no matter what the reason is. American Airlines has admitted they were the one's who screwed up.

American Airlines does not consider this type of need for service animal a disability but a "disorder" and is not protected under the American disabilities act and therefore deny and require you to kennel and pay to fly dog. Most times the dog ends up flying with luggage in a non tempature controlled environment. Speaking from personal experience. Judge a you will but American is very non dog friendly and had terrible record of losing / killing dogs. Fly contrnial they roll out red carpart for the service dogs

Barrelhouse Beat

Barrelhouse: A colloquialism describing the low saloons at the turn of the century (19th) that served whiskey straight out of the barrel. It's also a reference to the type of music played in those venues. Ex: Barrelhouse music.

Beat: The time or timing. Ex: The band played with a solid beat. Also used as a term describing a reporters specific area of expertise. Ex: The music beat.

About me: I'm Okie born and raised, and have lived all over the state: Oklahoma City, Enid, Moore, Norman, Edmond and Tulsa. I am a music geek, writer, graphic designer and amateur photographer and videographer who's followed the Tulsa and regional music scene since I moved to Green Country more than 10 years ago. I've been enmeshed in Tulsa's varied and vibrant musical night life, what some of us affectionately call a modernized throwback to the Barrelhouse scene, since that time. I fell in love with it. I fell hard.
