Kristin Chenoweth is a chain restaurant aficionado.
And she proclaimed her all-time favorite is Oklahoma-based Sonic Drive-In on "Conan" Monday.
"I hear you're kind of a cheap date, is that true?" asked comedian and host Conan O'Brien. His talk show airs at 10 p.m. weeknights on TBS, cable 47.
"I love chains," said Chenoweth, who stars in ABC's "GCB" Sundays on ABC. "I love Olive Garden, Chili's, Applebees. I love Outback Steakhouse – their bloomin' onion is not to be believed. But my all-time favorite is Sonic. Have ya'll heard of it?
"...Now they put the Mmm on tater tots," she said, insisting she is not a paid spokesperson for the company.
"...I wish they would call me I would do their ads. Oooh and I love their slushies. They have cranberry, if you want to be more healthy, and grape. But their commercials are in a car," said the actress and entertainer who declared herself too short to seen over the car's dashboard. "No one would know it was me."
"Oh, it's so good they have cheese taters and loaded fries."
The Broken Arrow native said the commercials are shown in Los Angeles but there are no Sonic Drive-Ins in the city.
"Why would they show the commercials here if they don't have them? They are just mocking us," quipped O'Brien in response.
"You have to go to Bakersfield, wherever that is," the Tony and Emmy Award winner continued. "No, I actually like Bakersfield because they have Applebees."
"I love this about you," added O’Brien.
Chenoweth will perform at a sold-out concert June 24 at the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center. She will be a guest on Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live" at 10 p.m. Monday on Bravo, cable 46.

Rita Sherrow grew up with TV. Yes, it was the ever-present “sister” from another techno mother. At first look, it was instant "Like." From then on, the TV had to be on in every room while she studied, elementary school through college. An Air Force brat, she attended school in three states (Oklahoma, Montana and Georgia) and two foreign countries (Germany and Bermuda) and graduated from Broken Arrow High School and the University of Tulsa with a degree in journalism/advertising. She first interned in the advertising world but, when a J-School professor (who also covered politics for the Tulsa World) offered her an internship at the newspaper, she took him up on it. The rest is history. She has served as bridal editor, senior features writer for the women’s section, food editor and is television editor of the Tulsa World. In addition to writing about TV shows and interviewing the stars for “Scene” stories, she also writes a TV column for Weekend and produces the Sunday TV World listings magazine.
