Well, not any time soon. Chenoweth, the Tony Award-winning Broken Arrow native, was scheduled to make her debut at the Metropolitan Opera this season with a much-anticipated revival of "The Ghosts of Versailles," John Corigliano's phantasmagorical comic opera.

However, the economic downturn has forced the Met to cancel the production because of the costs, and instead stage yet another version of "La Traviata."

The production isn't being cancelled, just postponed until The Met rights its budgetary ship.

And Opera Chic has named the other three to be cut: Lulu, The Nose and Lady MacBeth of Mtsesnk. Sad if that's true.

This is a shame. I would listen to Kristin C. sing her grocery list, but I was really jazzed to hear she was on the Met's play list.
