A mariachi band will be on hand to perform at the grand opening of Las Americas Latin Grill and Tequila Bar, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Friday.
The restaurant is located at 4532 E. 51st St., in space occupied for many years by the Green Onion.
Las Americas Latin Grill is owned by Antonio Perez and Guillermo Rojas. Perez also owns Las Americas and Gateway supermarkets, and Rojas is co-owner of Casa Laredo Latin Grill & Tequila Bar.
The menu will feature mostly Mexican dishes, but it also will include some items from Rojas' former home, Argentina, and his birthplace, Bolivia.
Regular hours for the restaurant will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday. The phone number is 918-636-9488.
