In the latest on the Thanksgiving throw-down at
Halle Berry’s residence the actress’s ex, Gabriel Aubry is alleging Berry’s fiancé Olivier Martinez started the fight that left Aubry with a black eye and looking pretty, well, unmodel like.
It’s a story full of a lot of alleging this and that, but basically Aubry was dropping off Nahla, his and Berry’s 4-year-old daughter, on Turkey Day, Berry’s new guy Martinez was there, and a fight broke out.
Aubry claims Martinez assailed him first. And while Martinez has not commented on the incident, a source close to Berry told
PEOPLE that it was Aubry who initiated the scrape.
According to Aubry’s claims, Martinez said “You cost us $3 million. When you see the judge, you’re going to tell him you’re going to Paris or I’m going to kill you.”
Whoa.
PEOPLE reports Aubry’s claims were part of his application for a restraining order against Martinez that was granted.
Anyway, check out the picture that was attached the application.
Splitsville for Jessica Simpson's baby sister AshleeAnd speaking of other upheaval,
Ashlee Simpson and Vincent Piazza have split, the
New York Post reports.
“Vincent has been working a lot, so he hasn’t been able to spend as much time with Ashlee, which has caused some problems,” a source told the newspaper. “It was a mutual agreement to split, but things have been bumpy for a little while, so perhaps they might reconcile.”
This news comes after Simpson’s parents Tina and Joe filed for divorce after 34 years of marriage.
LiLo 'devastated' by reaction to bad movie
(Lifetime)
Sources close to
Lindsay Lohan have told the
Huffington Post that the actress is “devastated” by public response – mostly, mostly negative,
real negative – to her portrayal of Elizabeth Taylor in “Liz & Dick” which premiered on Lifetime Sunday.
“She has got used to all the negative press around her personal life but this is the first time she has experienced it about her work," the source said. "No matter how bad things were going for her personally, everyone would always agree that she was a great actress.”
The made-for-T.V. movie has been compared to an SNL skit. Lohan has been accused of “sleepwalking through scenes,” and many other critics were none to kind.
Singer Lady Gaga did offer her new friend some words of encouragement yesterday via twitter as the reviews continued pouring in:
“Lindsay has already read her own press,” another source told the
Huffington Post. “She knew the script wasn’t strong but thought she would bring the role of Elizabeth to life. This is particularly heartbreaking as her acting was the only thing in her life that she knew was real. Now she is doubting that, too.”
Many had looked to 'Liz' as the bellwether of Lindsay's future in acting.
But remember not more than a month ago had ole dad Michael Lohan gone on daytime television to find out he… ‘was the father’ of a love child conceived during an affair he had while married to Linds' mom Dina Lohan.
Not long before that, some mother-daughter tiff of Lohan’s ended up leaked to the public.
Before that, some alleged hit-and-run (the charges were dropped), other random things, the bad teeth pictures and a whole bunch of drama unfolded that would make you yearn for the days of "The Parent Trap,” “Mean Girls,” and “Just My Luck.”
LiLo is as real as it gets, and yes, some of that has been unsavory. In varying degrees, such is life for everyone. There's always the sunny and the grey.
As Lindsay is a celebrity, we, unfortunately, are privy to it all and thus are all the more critical when she falls in front of us.
But Lindsay should keep going.
‘Liz & Dick’ was inarguably a bust, though not all of that should be shouldered by Linds. She did not fit the part, she
did look Great!!, but the film just wasn't that good to begin with...at all really.
Which begs the suspicion of whether Lohan was casted for 'Liz' with the knowledge that it would be a horrible flop but would draw the scope of viewers it did.
The only person who could best tell and most authentically portray Liz Taylor’s story is Liz Taylor. And since it couldn't be Liz, a proven actress of maturity would have done well. This just wasn't Lindsay's job to do.
I’m not Lindsay, but in hypothetically confronting all the nonwork issues she’s been dealing with for years, one would think she gave the project her best effort if only to prove naysayers wrong. I'm trusting that's what she did.
Lindsay, keep going.
