Library users explore their e-readers during a workshop at the Broken Arrow Library last year. Tulsa World file

I was pretty excited when I found out that the library started an e-book collection.

But, as technologically savvy as I consider myself, it took me a while to figure out how to get the books that I checked out onto my e-reader. The free way is a bit different then the "Buy" and "Download" process.

For those who need some help figuring out how to get books on their e-reader, several library branches are offering clinics this month. Drop in with your Nook, Kindle, iPad or other e-reader at any of these libraries during the following times for some one-on-one help.

E-reader clinics

-Hardesty Regional Library: 9:30-11 a.m. Jan. 5. (For iPad/iPhone only)
-Zarrow Regional Library: 5:30-7:30 p.m. Jan. 7.
-Central Library: 5:30-7 p.m. Jan. 8 and 10 a.m.-noon Jan. 18.
-South Broken Arrow Library: 1:30-3 p.m. Jan. 9 and 6:30-7:30 p.m. Jan. 24.
-Helmerich Library: 5:30-7 p.m. Jan. 10
-Herman and Kate Kaiser Library: 11 a.m.-noon Jan. 18.
-Martin Regional Library: 1:30-3:30 p.m. Jan. 29.

For those who do not yet have an e-reader, some branches will have various e-readers available for demonstrations. For more, visit tulsaworld.com/library.
