Library offers more during summer

Looking for things for your kids to do now that they are out of school? The library has kicked up its offerings.

Tuesday
Ductivities
Get crafty with duct tape. For ages 10-18.
Where: Skiatook Library, 316 E. Rogers
When: 2 to 3 p.m.

Own the Night – Defend Yourself!
Instructors from Tulsa Martial Arts will teach you the basics of self defense. For ages 12-18. Pre-registration required. Call 918-549-7556.

When: 3 to 5 p.m.

DIY @ the Library: Paper Lanterns

Make paper lanterns to celebrate the library's summer reading theme. For ages 8-13.
Where: Zarrow Regional Library, 2224 W. 51st St.
When: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday
African Drumming With Arthur Thompson
Play drums with Grammy-nominated Arthur Thompson. For ages 10-18.

When: 2 to 3 p.m.

Tommy Terrific’s The Magic of Bedtime Stories
Watch Tommy perform nighttime-themed magic tricks. For ages 5-12.
Where/When: Martin Regional Library, 2601 S. Garnett Road, from 10 to 10:45 a.m., and South Broken Arrow Library, 3600 S. Chestnut, from 2 to 3 p.m.

Thursday
Storytime in the Park
Join the Reading Roadshow for stories and songs in the park. Bring a blanket or lawn chair. Afterward, cool off in the splash pad. For all ages.
Where: 41st Street Plaza at River Parks, 41st and Riverside
When: 10 to 10:35 a.m.

Get Zombified!
Get a zombie makeover and play zombie-themed games. For ages 10-18.
Where: Zarrow Regional Library, 2224 W. 51st St.
When: 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Friday

Music and Dance With Andrés Salguero
This show uses music and dance to teach kids Spanish language and Latin culture.
Where/when: Herman and Kate Kaiser Library, 5202 S Hudson Ave., Suite B, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and Schusterman-Benson Library, 3333 E. 32nd Place, from 2 to 2:45 p.m.

Tulsa To Do
