The Reuben sandwich from Diamond Jack's. TOM GILBERT/Tulsa World

My year-end restaurant roundup in Thursday's Weekend section did not include notable closings in 2012, such old-time favorites as Diamond Jack's, Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken, Amish Kitchen and Be Le Vegetarian.

Diamond Jack's had operated in various locations since 1965, Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken since 1970, Amish Kitchen in several locations since 1988 and Be Le Vegetarian since 1996.

Other significant closing during 2012 included Chicory & Chives Café, Sage Rage Melt Bar, Andales Tex-Mex Cantina, Gina & Guiseppe’s Italian Ristorante, Fusco’s, Smoke N’ Grill Café, Campus Grill, SoCo’s Sports Bar, More Than Noodles, Cosi (which morphed into Naples Flatbread), Piatta Cucina Italiana, Paradox Pub & Grill in Broken Arrow and Duke’s Southern Kitchen in Bixby.

I wondered why those weren't included. Thank you.

We've been going to Diamond Jack's for a Reuben and Dripped Beef for nearly 45 years. We sure do miss it.

Headline should read "2012" not 2013.

I hadn't been to Diamond Jack's since probably the late 1980's, not sure why, I guess so many places to choose from, but I do remember them having delicious sandwiches. I also miss St. Michael's Alley.

no wonder there is a problem with abesity in tulsa look at all the resturants. St Michaels Alley was neat back in my day of the 60 & 70"s

St. Michael's Alley was wonderful, and I miss Connors' Corner that was close to St. Michael's Alley. I also miss the Nine of Cups and some place on Harvard that had Corn Chowder. Diamond Jack's is definitely missed. Friends of mine say Einstein Bagels is terrific.
