MAC attack

Just wanted to catch you up on something I've been remiss in sharing.
MAC opened a counter at Dillard's Promenade last weekend. I popped by the other night after picking a b-day card up at Hallmark (aka, Croc Central -- seen that display in the window?). Anyway, love the space. It's kinda between the tip of Estee Lauder and jewelry. Anyway, really nice young women working there. By the way, this is Tulsa's third MAC location -- the other two are at Dillard's Woodland Hills and Saks Fifth Avenue.
While you're there, check out MAC's new Matte Profile -- cool eye shadows "jet-miled with a high percentage of pigment for intense buildable coverage," they told me ("they" being a press kit filled with goodies). The treated color base delivers density in color and flexibility in even application. Colors are super-deep and look brilliant on the skin. Blends effortlessly and stays color-true, too.
And I love the color names: Post Haste (bright berry pink), Poison Pen (deep mid-tone purple with grey) and, my favorite, Handwritten (rich chocolate brown).
Price is $14 each. For more info, call Dillard's Prom. and ask for the new MAC counter, 627-7700.
Peace, love and eye shadow ... xoxo

Living Wright
While other kids were watching "The Smurfs," Scene Writer Jason Ashley Wright was tuned in to "Style with Elsa Klensch." By fourth grade, he knew he wanted to write, and spent almost three years publishing a weekly teen-oriented magazine, Teen-Zine -- circulation: 2. After earning a degree in journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, he became the medical reporter and teen board coordinator for the Hattiesburg (Miss.) American, a Gannett newspaper. Eight months later, with visions of Elsa dancing in his head, he applied for the fashion writer position at the Tulsa World, where he began working on Aug. 3, 1998. He is now a general assignment reporter for Scene.
