I loathe confrontation. But when it comes to celebrities, it's just a smidgen intriguing. Sick? Probably.

Whatever, CNN.com's Marquee Blog reported that Sir Elton John had some snippy things to say about fellow music star Madonna recently, going as far to say her "career is over."

"She's such a nightmare," CNN quoted John as telling Australia's "Sunday Night." "... and she looks like a f*****g fairground stripper." Well, goodness. (Am I the only one whose thoughts went immediately to those obnoxious turkey legs at the Tulsa State Fair?)

Anyway, John has apparently been fussy over the Material Girl's treatment of his son Zachary's godmother, Lady Gaga. He went on to say Madonna should just make a record like "Ray of Light" or, otherwise, "hang it up."

Someone just told me he even called her a See You Next Thanksgiving. Yikes.

What do y'all think? Has Madonna's career fizzled permanently? Or is she better than ever?

And does anyone care what Sir Elton has to say about any of if?

And, most importantly, what are you most looking forward to eating at the fair?

Peace, love and next Thanksgiving ... XOXO

While other kids were watching "The Smurfs," Scene Writer Jason Ashley Wright was tuned in to "Style with Elsa Klensch." By fourth grade, he knew he wanted to write, and spent almost three years publishing a weekly teen-oriented magazine, Teen-Zine -- circulation: 2. After earning a degree in journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, he became the medical reporter and teen board coordinator for the Hattiesburg (Miss.) American, a Gannett newspaper. Eight months later, with visions of Elsa dancing in his head, he applied for the fashion writer position at the Tulsa World, where he began working on Aug. 3, 1998. He is now a general assignment reporter for Scene.
