Miranda and Blake love to karaoke, she tells Southern Living

Oklahoma transplant Miranda Lambert told Southern Living that she’s prone to singing karaoke while in Nashville.

Too much information? Maybe. She admitted that both she and hubby Blake Shelton do it.

Just last week Blake and I sang karaoke on Broadway here in Nashville. I did ‘Something to Talk About,’ by Bonnie Raitt. Blake’s signature song is Tracy Byrd’s ‘I’m from the Country,’” she told the magazine.

The pair most recently won male and female vocalist of the year awards from the Country Music Association.

Lambert also told Southern Living that she considers her grandmother’s cornbread dressing the best Thanksgiving dish ever.

“I’ve never met anyone who could top it,” she said.

Barrelhouse Beat

Barrelhouse: A colloquialism describing the low saloons at the turn of the century (19th) that served whiskey straight out of the barrel. It's also a reference to the type of music played in those venues. Ex: Barrelhouse music.

Beat: The time or timing. Ex: The band played with a solid beat. Also used as a term describing a reporters specific area of expertise. Ex: The music beat.
