Randy Jackson, one of Michael Jackson's brothers, announced Wednesday that his mother Katherine Jenkins is returning to California.
"My mom is on her way back to Los Angeles," Jackson told ABC's Robin Roberts on "Good Morning America." "It was under doctor's orders that she go (away from L.A.). Her health was really bad, and he wanted her to go somewhere where she couldn't be on the phone, and be cut off from the outside world for a few days."
Jackson, who along with brother Jermaine and sister Janet Jackson, were involved in a confrontation with their late brother Michael Jackson's children and another family member at the Jackson family compound Monday. There was reportedly a scuffle with Trent (TJ) Jackson, son of Tito Jackson, at the home and sheriff's deputies took a report, reported tmz.com. No one was arrested. Randy Jackson denied any physical altercation occurred with any of the children.
Katherine Jackson, 82, the legal guardian of the late pop singer's daughter and sons Paris, 14, Prince, 15, and Blanket, 10, was reported missing by a nephew Saturday but was, Randy Jackson told "GMA" Tuesday, in Arizona under doctor’s orders to rest. She had no phone or computer contact with her grandchildren for 10 days.
He told ABC's Roberts that he and his brother and sister showed up at the family home to tell the children they could talk to and visit with their grandmother "whenever they want."
But Katherine Jackson's attorney Sandra Ribera, read a statement Monday stating: "Following the incident, it was learned that one of the family members who was part of the ambush admitted that a plan has been in place for the last three years to remove Katherine Jackson from her home and her beloved grandchildren."
Ribera told ABC News: "The children were able to make contact with their grandmother very late yesterday evening. They are looking forward to being reunited with their grandmother very soon."
Last week, siblings Randy, Jermaine, Janet, Rebbie and Tito Jackson signed a letter declaring Michael Jackson's will a fraud and demanding that the estate's executors John Branca and John McClain be removed.
The will left everything to Jackson's children under the care of his mother and excluded all other family members. Tito Jackson rescinded his support of the letter Tuesday.
Perry Sanders, Katherine Jackson's estate attorney told ABC he met with Janet and Jermaine Jackson in Tucson, Ariz., Tuesday night but did not see Katherine although he was assured she was "OK."
According to ABC, Sanders, who had planned to appoint a temporary guardian for the children in Los Angeles, said he no longer thinks it is necessary.

Why does the term "vultures" come to mind after reading the story yesterday and this one. Janet and Jermaine are letting their masks slip. I feel sorry for Michael Jackson's kids.

Where there's a will there's a money grubbing family member.

Rita Sherrow grew up with TV. Yes, it was the ever-present “sister” from another techno mother. At first look, it was instant "Like." From then on, the TV had to be on in every room while she studied, elementary school through college. An Air Force brat, she attended school in three states (Oklahoma, Montana and Georgia) and two foreign countries (Germany and Bermuda) and graduated from Broken Arrow High School and the University of Tulsa with a degree in journalism/advertising. She first interned in the advertising world but, when a J-School professor (who also covered politics for the Tulsa World) offered her an internship at the newspaper, she took him up on it. The rest is history. She has served as bridal editor, senior features writer for the women’s section, food editor and is television editor of the Tulsa World. In addition to writing about TV shows and interviewing the stars for “Scene” stories, she also writes a TV column for Weekend and produces the Sunday TV World listings magazine.
