Mission:Impossible -- You get the boot

A pair of plain-toe, six-inch Giorgio Brutini boots with calf leather and a synthetic sole retails for $65. It can be yours for free if you know a few things about Tom Cruise.
I'm giving away boots! If someone wants to "get the look" from the new "Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol" movie, playing exclusively in IMAX at Cinemark Tulsa and AMC Southroads 20 for five days, you'll have to answer three questions.
These boots by maker Giorgio Brutini are featured in the film, and they can be yours if you know a few things about Tom Cruise.
The first person to answer these questions correctly (respond on this blog, please) is the winner. I'll be in touch to verify -- and to find out the size of shoe needed so the company can ship them to you.
Ready?
1. This is the fourth "Mission: Impossible" movie. Other than this franchise, Tom Cruise has starred in only one other sequel. Name it.
2. Name the movie that Tom Cruise filmed in Tulsa.
3. Tom Cruise has starred in four movies nominated for best picture at the Academy Awards. Name all four.
Also, if you haven't yet seen a trailer for "Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol," check it out here.

1) Well, he has agreed to do "Top Gun 2". I don't know if this counts, though, since it's not yet been filmed.
2) "The Outsiders"
3) "Born on the Fourth of July"
"Jerry McGuire"
"A Few Good Men"

I See Movies for Free
“I was born a poor, black child” … not me, actually, but Steve Martin’s character in the “The Jerk.” That absurd opening line is just one of the absurd number of film facts, quotes and minutiae contained in
movie critic Michael Smith’s
brain, at his disposal to toss out on a moment’s notice. It’s a key requirement as Tulsa World film critic to know these things. Michael learned a few other life facts along the way (seven years as a Crystal’s Pizza & Spaghetti manager) before attempting journalism and joining the Tulsa World in 1996, where he’s covered everything from a school shooting in Fort Gibson to a tornado in Stroud to witnessing an execution. A little community theater coverage was sprinkled in there, too. Movies engender many of his happiest memories, from standing in line for “Star Wars” and “Grease” at the Southroads Cinema to the James Bond and Pink Panther movies that always premiered at the enormous Continental Theater.

Big winner tonight: producer Harvey Weinstein. "The Artist" wins 5 Oscars, "The Iron Lady" goes 2-for-2, even wins best documentary.
