Monster Trucks vs. Ballet Dancers
Published: 2/4/2011 3:44 PM

Tulsa Ballet's production of "The Taming of the Shrew" will be presented as planned this weekend, with performances at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at the Tulsa PAC.

The Monster Truck Jam at the BOk Center that was supposed to happen Friday, has been canceled.

So, to paraphrase Laurie Anderson, "Quien es mas macho? Monster truck....or ballet dancer?"

My money's on the ballet dancers.

To my thinking, it's just another example of the way the arts will endure -- come rain or shine, sleet or 14 inches-and-counting of snow.
